Hopefully the better part of 2012

Hey, just started up recently with the site and frankly i've been a long time viewer, but first time member. I'm hoping to just get some artwork out there and get some critques and opinions that might help me further the path of becoming a great artist.
Up to today, 2012 has been a horrid year for me, absolutely the worst without question and like most ironic things in life, when you ask "Can things get any worse?" you're usually about to be given an answer, lol. So i've stopped asking, and started knowing, things have got nowhere to go but uphill from here and I figured with the losses i've had in my life lately, that it was time to get the pencil back to the paper and start putting my money where my mouth is if I actually want to realize my goal of becoming an artist who can one day successfully sell comission artwork!
So here's to the beginning of the better part of 2012! When things are down I prefer to have the attitude of "Well relax, and just remember that a year from now, this stress will all be done and dealt with". That being said, i'm hoping that a year from now will have alot more deviations on my page, alot more confidence in my artwork and most of all, alot more skill to backup that confidence.
Current work in progress is the character/model that i'll be using as my "logo" you could say, for the S-Corps. Once it's finished, polished and posted i'll explain the meaning and to whom it's dedication lies.
